The Telepass Base
, i.e. Telepass Family contract, is the basic Telepass plan included in all the packages offered online. To activate the Telepass plan, simply register on the site and have a bank account even with a foreign IBAN from one of the 28 member states of the European Union, as well as Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, the Principality of Monaco, the State of San Marino, the Principality of Andorra and Vatican State. I have a foreign bank account: can I activate Telepass services?
You can take advantage of the services offered by Telepass Pay by joining the Telepass Pay X offer through the Telepass Pay X App.
What is the difference between Telepass Base and Telepass Easy?
Telepass Base has a monthly fee of €1.83 and can only be activated at one of our points of sale. Telepass Base includes the Telepass Slim device, used to pay tolls quickly, park your vehicle at affiliated car parks, get on board the Strait of Messina ferries, and pay the congestion charge for Milan’s Area C.
The Telepass Easy plan has a monthly fee of €2 and can be activated in just a few taps from the App. The device is also shipped to your doorstep at no additional cost. The Easy plan includes all the options available in Base in addition to car and motorbike services in the App such as fuel, on-street parking, car tax, vehicle inspections, and mobile car wash. Download the app and get access to services, manage your trips, and track your expenses, all in just a few taps.
How to end the Telepass Base contract
You can end your contract at any time and with no penalties or closing costs by simply returning the device at the nearest 'Punto Blu' or mailing it with registered mail to the following address: Telepass S.p.A. - Via del Serafico 49 - 00142 Roma.

How can I verify if my foreign bank account falls within the SEPA area?
Please note that the SEPA area includes the 28 member states of the European Union with the addition of Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, the Principality of Monaco, the Republic of San Marino, the Principality of Andorra, and the Vatican City State.
Is the Telepass Base domiciliation possible on a rechargeable card?
If you own a rechargeable card, before you proceed to activate Family Online, we suggest you to ask more information to the card issuer.
Is the activation of the Telepass device immediate?
The Telepass device is immediately active and it can be used regularly.
How many devices can be linked to my Telepass Family contract?
You can link one device only to the Family Contract with a monthly cost of 1.26 euros. Although you can request the Telepass Twin offer that allows you to obtain on the same contract a second device (with roadside assistance included for Italy only) with a monthly cost of 2.38 euros as per below:
monthly fee for the device at a cost of 0.60 euros (instead of 1.26);
monthly fee for the Premium option at a cost of 1.50 euros.
Do I always need a bank account to activate Telepass Base (Family Online)?
Telepass Base always require a bank account support.
The Telepass contract holder has to be the same as the holder or co-holder of the IBAN provided in order for the bank domiciliation request to be successful.
When signing up online I am not able to insert the number plate, the system says "number plate in use". What does it mean?
If you see this message and you can't proceed, it's possible that your number plate is being used on another device.
To finalize your signing up online we invite you to insert the number plate of a different vehicle, if you have one, or to fill in the form under the Support section and attach your vehicle registration document.
