Purchase Trenitalia tickets at no additional cost on the Telepass Pay or Telepass Pay X App by activating the Trains service. In this section you will find information on how to change tickets or request a refund in the event of a strike, how to transport a bike on a train and where to request assistance for persons with disabilities or reduced mobility.

  • On the Telepass Pay or Telepass Pay X App, select the Trains service;
  • search your trip by setting the route, date/time, and number of passengers;
  • select the trip option you like best among the ones proposed;
  • choose the service type you prefer among standard, premium, business, etc.;
  • before proceeding with the purchase, check the trip options you selected;
  • click “Confirm” and pay to proceed with purchase.

Once the purchase has been made, your PDF ticket is available in the transactions archive under the “Trains” section.

You can buy all types of Trenitalia tickets via the Telepass Pay App and Telepass Pay X App: Intercity, Regional, Frecce, Trenord, Thello.

Yes, should you need to modify or cancel your trip, you can change your ticket right on the Telepass Pay App or Telepass Pay X App.

What you need to do:

  • go to the Transactions Archive in the Trains section;
  • select the ticket you would like to modify;
  • click on "Edit trip".

Based on the features of the ticket purchased, the following functions will be visible and enabled:

"request refund": to request a refund before departure, if allowed by the type of ticket purchased;

“modify trip”: to change route, number of passengers, offer, etc.;

“change reservation (date / time)”: to change only the departure date / time.

Please note that changes are only possible based on the type of ticket purchased. Not all offers include this option. Additionally, based on the changes made, you may be asked for a price supplement or may be refunded a difference, in accordance with Trenitalia regulations.

Using the Trains service available on the Telepass Pay / Telepass Pay X App you can:

  • Purchase Trenitalia train tickets.
  • View the tickets purchased in the special transaction archive.
  • Independently manage changes/cancellations of purchased tickets.

Please note that the possibility of making ticket changes always depends on the type of ticket purchased. For any questions, please refer to Trenitalia rules and regulations.

On the Telepass Pay/Telepass Pay X App, select the Trains service and access the section Archive Transactions , you will be able to view the tickets purchased through Telepass Pay.

Yes, you can request the invoice at the moment you make the purchase by selecting the option "you need an invoice?" and by filling in correctly the P.IVA information.

Trenitalia will email you the invoice.
