Want to park in the Municipality of Modena? Discover rates, hours and how to pay.
The blue parking zones are paid parking areas regulated by an hourly rate and prices that may vary depending on the areas of Modena and the days. These parking spaces are easy to recognize because they are marked with blue stripes. Payment is managed by Modena Parcheggi and regulated by the Municipality of Modena.

You can pay for blue parking lines in Modena in two ways:
If you use the parking meter to purchase parking in blue lines, you can display the ticket inside your car, or, if you use the Telepass App, the voucher you can download. All payment systems are connected to a license plate detection system, so displaying the ticket is not mandatory.
Please note that the cost may vary depending on the area, day, and time when you park, so always check the nearest vertical signage to the blue line parking spot. In Modena, paid parking has different rates depending on the zones:

The hours for blue line parking in Modena are Monday to Saturday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 2:30 PM to 8:00 PM. On Sundays and public holidays, parking is free. The exception is the ex MOI Via Borelli 90 parking lot where blue lines are paid every day from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

The permit must always be clearly displayed inside the windshield. Permits are issued by the Parking Office of Modena Parcheggi (Via Fontanelli, Parco Novi Sand, Monday to Friday 8:30 AM-1:00 PM, Monday and Thursday also 2:30 PM-6:00 PM).
If you own an electric car, in Modena you can park for free in blue line spaces. You must register your license plate and complete the appropriate forms provided by the Municipality. If you own a hybrid car, currently there are no benefits available.
