The Milan Malpensa Airport offers travelers a considerable number of parking spaces to park with comfort and security, depending on their needs.
This intercontinental airport is located in the provincial territory of Varese, about 50 km from the center of Milan, to which it is connected by the Malpensa Express railway line operated by Trenord and the A8 motorway. It is the second largest Italian airport by number of passengers after Rome Fiumicino.
Leaving your car at Malpensa airport is permitted both in the official parking lots within the airport area, as well as outside in various private facilities. In this guide, we'll show you what options are available and how much they cost.
The official parking lots of Milan Malpensa Airport are managed by Milan Airports Parking – as well as those of Milan Linate and Bergamo Orio al Serio, which together form the Milan airport system – and provide a total of 17,700 spaces, with 11,000 at Terminal 1 and 6,700 at Terminal 2.
You can book them online through the company's website, or pay on-site, with the option to use the Telepass device and enjoy a faster procedure, thanks to dedicated entry and exit lanes, just like on the highway. This way, you avoid both having to collect and keep the ticket and queuing at the automatic payment machines. You also benefit from dedicated parking spaces and the payment is charged directly to your account (which you can monitor via app).
If you arrive at Malpensa by car, you can choose between short-term and long-term parking according to your needs. There is also a free shuttle service between the two terminals, running every 15 minutes from 4:00 AM to 1:30 AM and every 45 minutes from 1:30 AM to 3:45 AM.
If you need a short stop at Malpensa – for example, if you're accompanying someone to catch a flight or waiting for an arriving flight – you'll find these solutions and rates.
