The Venice Airport, named after Marco Polo, is 13 kilometers from the city center and is located in the Tessera area, along State Road 14 of Venezia Giulia.
The international hub, one of the main airports in Italy, is connected by bus to Venice Mestre railway station, to the municipalities of the metropolitan area, and to various cities in the region. Additionally, it is reachable from historic Venice via vaporetto services and water taxis departing from Fondamente Nove.
The "Marco Polo" has various areas for short and long-term parking, which provide travelers with a considerable number of spaces to leave their car comfortably and safely, according to their needs.
The parking facilities at Venice Airport are both official, within the airport area, and private structures outside. In this guide we indicate solutions and rates to you.
The official parking facilities at Venice "Marco Polo" Airport offer a total availability of approximately 6000 parking spaces. Park Accompagnatori and P1 are parking facilities with Telepass agreement.
By using your Telepass device in the affiliated facilities, you can enjoy a faster procedure, thanks to dedicated entry and exit lanes, just like on the motorway. This way, you avoid both having to collect and keep your ticket and waiting in line at automatic payment stations. You also have dedicated parking spaces recognizable by the logo and payment is charged directly to your account after you retrieve your vehicle (you can check it from the Telepass App).
Furthermore, booking through the Telepass agreement guarantees you a parking space even if the parking lot is full: simply use the intercom at the entrance barriers and communicate your booking code to the operator.
If you need a short stop at Venice Airport – for example, if you are dropping off someone to catch a flight or waiting for an incoming flight – you will find the following Telepass partner facilities:
Also available exclusively for buses is Park Bus at the rate of €15.00 every 20 minutes.
If you're leaving for a trip and need to leave your car at the airport for several days, at "Marco Polo" Venice the long-stay parking lots are organized as follows:
For people with disabilities who have a valid DPR 151/2012 badge, Venice Airport provides free reserved parking spaces at all parking facilities.
To take advantage of this opportunity, you must present the badge in original form to the information office or the P1 parking cashier, together with the parking ticket and an identity document.
For any companions, free parking is provided by presenting, in addition to the documents mentioned above, a copy of the flight ticket or boarding pass of the badge holder.
As an alternative to the official parking facilities at Venice Airport, you can leave your car in external structures outside the airport area, managed by private operators, which offer various solutions. The main ones are:
