The Mobility Accident Insurance offered by Telepass protects all daily travel. Yes, the cost of the insurance policies contribute towards reaching the quarterly spending limit of the Telepass Family contract of €258,23.

The Personal Mobility Insurance plan covers the following covers following an accident:

  • hospitalisation allowance,
  • recovery after hospitalisation allowance,
  • per diem for immobilisation due to accident (which requires application of casts/splints/braces that does not allow limb movement),
  • reimbursement of medical expenses,
  • per diem for temporary full incapacity.

If the accident occurs while using a Telepass service, the compensation is doubled.

You can withdraw from the policy within 14 days from signing, without penalty and without the need to provide a reason. In any case, you can cancel the policy at any monthly recurrence, with a 15-day notice; in this case, the policy will lapse upon expiration of the monthly insurance period for which you have already paid the relative premium and will no longer be renewed.

You can withdraw by filling in the specific form you find on the website or on the Telepass App (under the Info and Support section) or with registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt addressed to: Telepass S.p.A. - Customer Care PO BOX 310 Branch 39 - 50123 Florence (address for the contractual communications).

The cost of the Accidents in Mobility policy will be debited after the signing of the insurance contract at the time the first Telepass service debit is charged and on the same account linked to your Telepass contract.

Keep in mind that the policy has a monthly duration until the cancellation of the pollicy.

The Personal Mobility Insurance policy is for natural persons having Telepass Base (Telepass Family contract) with Telepass S.p.a. The plan is available for Italian residents aged 18-70 (not completed) for accidents occuring outside their homes.

The Accidents in Mobility policy is the new insurance product offered by Telepass in partnership with the partner insurance companies to protect you from the moment you leave home until your return.

The amount of compensation provided for by the Accidents in Mobility policy dobles if the injury happens while using the services paid with Telepass and for all mobility services paid with the Telepass Pay App (taxi-Bike sharing- Scooter- Local Public Transportation- Ferries- Trains- Scooter Sharing).

If you are a Telepass Family contract holder, you can purchase only one policy with the Individual or Family plan. If you are the holder of a Telepass contract with Viacard, you can purchase up to a maximum of 10 individual policies.

Once you activate Personal Mobility Insurance, you’ll receive the insurance policy and the relevant contract documents are available on the website or in your App.

The policy price will be directly debited from the account linked to your Telepass contract.

In the event of an accident, the claim must be reported in writing to the insurance company without delay.

You can easily submit a claim using the special form included in the contract documents, following the instructions on the website www.metlife.it in the "Customer Service" / "Report a Claim" section, or even in unofficial form.

The sums insured for each warranty are divided equally among the members of the family unit included in the Family Status at the time of the claim, with a minimum of 33% for each insured person. If there are more than three members in a family, the indemnity is still 33% for each.

The warranties are valid without territorial limits, with the exception of the warranties for hospitalization due to injury occurring in Italy and those for post-hospitalization recovery due to injury occurring in Italy, which are valid provided that the accident occurred in Italy.
