Motor Insurance

Motor Insurance is the legal minimum for your vehicle. This means that you’re covered if you have an accident that causes damage to third parties. This insurance is applicable within the policy limit, which you can select when buying the policy.

The following liability limits are available:

  • €6,070,000 for damage caused to people and €1,220,000 for damage caused to things
  • €10,000,000 for damage caused to people and things
  • €20,000,000 for damage caused to people and things

You can select from two types of drivers:

  • Any driver: there are no driving restrictions. The vehicle can be driven by anyone who has a valid driving licence, without an age limit. This option doesn't affect your insurance cover in the event of an claim
  • Expert: the insurance is only valid when the vehicle driver is at least 26 years old. This option affects the insurance cover in the event of a claim as the Company can demand compensation if the driver is younger than the age indicated.

For instance, the Company can demand compensation in the following cases with the following limits:

  • €500 if the driver is driving with an expired driving licence
  • €2,000 for delayed vehicle inspection
  • €2,500 if the driver is younger than 26 years old and the Expert driving type was purchased
  • €5,000 for drink-driving
  • Please read the information pack for more information and details on exclusions/limits.

Personal accident cover

The Personal accident cover protects the driver of the insured vehicle in the event of an accident, where the accident leads to death or permanent disability of the insured person.

There are three types of cover, with the following compensation limits:

  • Base: €50,000 for permanent disability/death – medical expenses are not reimbursed
  • Super: €100,000 for permanent disability/death – €2,500 for medical expenses
  • Top: €150,000 for permanent disability/death – €5,000 for medical expenses

There is a 3% deductible for permanent disability. If the driver fails to use the mandatory safety equipment or the vehicle does not comply with inspection regulations, the deductible is increased to 5% and the maximum compensation amount is limited to 50% of the total insured amount. No deductible is applied if the permanent disability is established to be above 30% and only if the mandatory safety equipment was correctly used.

Please read the information pack for more information and details on cover types and exclusions/limits.
